Partnership further augments the capabilities of Protium as it engages clients, by bringing the low carbon engineering, planning and regulatory expertise from ITPE as a joined-up proposition.
Protium Green Solutions (Protium), the UK-based green hydrogen project developer, has signed a collaboration agreement with ITPEnergised (ITPE), the world-leading clean energy consultancy firm who offers energy, environmental, engineering, technical advisory and renewables asset management services.
The agreement will see Protium working side-by-side with ITPE to provide green hydrogen project development services, further accelerating the decarbonisation movement in the UK and Ireland.
Protium will work with ITPE’s leading consultancy business to explore the potential of utilising green hydrogen across a variety of sectors, including food & drink, chemicals, oil & gas and utilities. Protium’s technical acumen will provide hydrogen-specific support, in particular focusing on project origination, design, funding and deployment.
The collaboration will result in a unique combined offering for clients looking to decarbonise their assets or business operations. Protium’s green hydrogen expertise and project capabilities allow ITPE to have access with an in-depth insight into the green hydrogen energy market. In return, ITPE will provide a wider market reach through their extensive experience, acting as trusted technical advisor across a range of market sectors.
Since 2013, ITPE has delivered consultancy services in the UK and internationally, across a range of energy generation technologies, including: onshore & offshore wind, wave and tidal, ground and roof-mounted solar PV, solar thermal, small and large biomass and hydro-electric, and energy storage technologies. Combined, the two companies will offer an unparalleled service for green hydrogen consulting and solutions deployment.
This agreement represents yet another noteworthy chapter for Protium, having recently announced its emergence into the heating, horticulture and aviation sectors through various collaborations with Hydrogen Technologies Inc. (via its sister company, Deuterium), as well as CambridgeHOK and ZeroAvia, respectively.
Commenting on the announcement, Chris Jackson, CEO of Protium, said “Protium is delighted to be combining forces with ITPE and look forward to being able to provide a packaged solution for companies seeking to reduce their carbon emissions through hydrogen. ITPE has been at the forefront of clean-energy consulting for almost a decade and we look forward to working alongside such a credible, market-leading business.”
Jonny Clark, Managing Director of ITPE, said, “We are excited at the prospects of what hydrogen solutions can bring to the clean-energy sector and the potential to pave the way to a decarbonised economy. We are delighted to be partnering with Protium, so that we can further explore the promise of green hydrogen through our combined offering.”
