Bruichladdich & ITPEnergised

HyLaddie is an SBRI (Small Business Research Initiative) grant funded project under the UK governments Green Distilleries Competition. The first stage of the project is a feasibility study that will explore whether the deployment of an on-site Deuterium Dynamic Combustion Chamber (DCC™) can provide a technically and commercially viable zero emission energy solution to meet Bruichladdich Distilleries heating demands at Islay.

Together with ITPEnergised and Deuterium, Protium will investigate system design and how the DCC™ can be integrated with Bruichladdich’s existing heating systems. Protium will manage the project and ensure the solution can be delivered in a cost-effective manner, while also investigating how it can be integrated with neighbouring hydrogen production assets.
